The Regional Transit System bus service (RTS) is owned and operated by the City of Gainesville. UF contracts annually with RTS to provide fare-free transportation for current students, faculty and staff.

Transit Changes For Spring 2026 – New Route Added!
As part of planned RTS changes for the Spring 2026 semester, a new Route 21 will be added on the west side of campus serving SW 20th Avenue, SW 43rd Street and SW 38th Terrace. Route 21 will operate with two buses Monday-Thursday from 7:30am-6:00pm (no service on Fridays).

Use RTS’ Free “GNV RideRTS” App To Track Your Bus, Find Routes and More!
