Parking Restrictions

All vehicles parked on campus during permit-restricted hours must display a valid UF parking permit or park in a metered space or paid parking facility and pay the appropriate fee. Hours of permit restriction are posted in each parking lot and garage.

All vehicles parked on campus must obey UF’s parking rules and regulations. Vehicles parked in violation of these rules and regulations may be issued a parking citation.

During what hours is a parking permit required on campus?
Monday – Friday, 7:30 am – 4:30 pm are the normal hours of restriction when an appropriate permit is required to park for most areas of campus.

However, many areas are enforced differently, so always check the signage at each location where you park to determine the specific hours when a permit is required for that area.

Additional Important Information About Permit Requirements:

  • Weekends: Brown and Reserved Space restrictions remain in effect (meaning they are enforced). All other permit restrictions, metered spaces and toll areas are lifted (not enforced), unless otherwise posted.
  • University Holidays: Gold, Silver, and Brown and reserved space restrictions remain in effect. All other permit restrictions, meters and toll areas are lifted unless otherwise posted.
